About the Diamonds:
Macle is naturally occuring diamond rough in which the diamond has reversed the direction of growth 180 degrees while forming into a crystal. This change in direction in the crystal structure is called "Twinning". This causes the diamond to form as a flat triangle that will often display triangular "trigon" patterns on the surface.
Emerald Cut diamonds are the best known step-cut diamond shape, which have rectangular facets that run parallel to the diamond’s girdle. This faceting style emphasizes a diamond’s color and clarity, as brilliance, dispersion, and scintillation are minimized.
